Australian Twelve Month Tourist Visa
If you wish to stay in Australia for longer than 6months you will require a 12 months Australia tourist visa.
Once your visa has been issued, you have up to 12 months to enter Australia, and from your first entry you have a further 12 months to stay in Australia.
In order to be eligible to apply for a 12 month Australia tourist visa you must:
Hold a valid passport
Meet all character, health and financial requirements
Eligiblepassport holders
Passport holders from the countries listed below are eligible to submit an online application for a Tourist visa (subclass 676).
We aim to process all visas within 24hours. Once your application has been logged you will receive an email from our office stating this. Within days of submitting your application the department will asked to see evidence of funds.
To apply for this visa you will be asked to provide financial evidence that you are able to support your stay whilst in Australia, as work is not permitted on this visa. You will usually be asked to supply 3month bank statements which show you will be able to supplement your travel.
If the bank statements provided are not in your name, a signed letter of support from the person named on the bank statements is required. This letter should state the person's relationship to your, the level of support they are willing to offer and confirmation that you will have access to the funds held in the account.
If no further information is required to support your application, they are usually granted within 2/3 weeks of receiving all requested information.
Once granted your visa will be electronically tagged to your passport which gives you the authority to travel.
You will also receive confirmation of your visa either via email or post, which will outline the terms and conditions of your visa.
