Do you want to study in Australia? If you intend to study in Australia for more than 3 months, you must apply for an Australian student visa.
 To be able to obtain the correct visa to study in Australia you must be fully enrolled in an Australian institution and have received a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE). This will be issued by the Australian institution you will be attending. The forms are usually issued after the tuition fees have been received.

What does this visa allow me to do?

This type of visa allows you to take dependent family members with you and also allows your spouse to study for up to 3 months. If they wish to study for longer they will require their own student visa.
Once your visa is granted you and your family members will automatically be given permission to work however there are limitations on the number of hours you and your family members are permitted to work.
The number of working hours allowed is 20hours a week however; these restrictions are lifted during holidays.
Permission to work is only given to help supplement your stay; you may be requested to show you can financially support you and your family's stay in Australia.
Once your visa is granted you cannot enter Australia until 28 days before your course starts, all conditions of your visa will be outlined within your visa grant.
To apply for your Australian student visa you will require:

• Downloadable form
• Visa Application fee
• Confirmation of Enrolment Form (COE), your host university will issue this once the application has been accepted and your tuition fees have been paid in full.
• An acceptance letter from your host university in Australia, this will need to include the proposed study plan.
• Letter (from your current institution confirming status as a Study Abroad Student)

We advise that the application process takes 10 working days after all requested information has been received however varies on a case by case basis.
