New Zealand working holiday visas permit you to stay and work in New Zealand for 12 months, however you may only stay with one employer for a maximum of 6 months.
You may also study or train for up to 3 months when entering under New Zealand working holiday visas.
Once your New Zealand working holiday visa has been issued, you have 12 months to activate the visa by entering New Zealand. From the date you enter on your New Zealand working holiday visa, you may stay in New Zealand for 12 months. You may leave and re-enter New Zealand as often as you wish during this time.
Applications for New Zealand working holiday visas usually take up to 2 weeks, however in some situations they may take longer.
The working holiday scheme is only available to applicants aged 18-30 at the time you apply for a New Zealand working holiday visa.
You are not permitted to apply for this visa if you have any dependent children.
If you have entered on a New Zealand working holiday visa before, you will not be eligible for another. There are also certain health, character, and financial requirements you must satisfy to be eligible for New Zealand working holiday visas.
You will be given 12 months to activate your visa the visa will be activated by entry to New Zealand. Your 12 months in New Zealand will start from the day of entry.
