Australian Tourist Visa

If you wish to travel to Australia for tourism purposes, and your length of stay won't be longer than 3 months, this type of visa is for you.

An ETA tourist visa is valid for 12 months, and allows you to enter Australia as many times as you wish during this time for a maximum of 90 days each entry.

The cost of a 3 month Australian tourist visa is $24.00 USD.

This type of visa is electronically tagged to your passport, so you won't have any stamp or label in your passport.

Upon arrival in Australia, they will scan your passport at the airport and that will show that you have a visa to travel to Australia. Most visas will be issued within 24 hours, and E-Mail confirmation will be sent to you once your visa has been approved.

This confirmation is for your own reference only, you are not required to take this with you on your trip to Australia.

To be eligible to apply for an Australian tourist ETA, you need to be outside of Australia, and hold a valid passport from one of the following countries:

* A Hong Kong Document of Identity (HKDI) cannot be used to apply for an ETA. Residents of Hong Kong require a citizen passport to apply for this visa.
** Holders of Taiwan passports can only be processed for an ETA if residing and applying in Taiwan. Applications can be lodged with an approved ETA travel agent in Hong Kong, or Australian Visa Services officers in Taipei.
